Fire Spinner

Fire Spinner is a commissioned doc for Wyoming PBS for the “Our Wyoming” series.  It tells the story of Miranda Bressler, a lifelong rancher on a family ranch outside of Casper WY.  Miranda was always interested in creative endeavors like acting, dancing, and performing and this lead her to cultivate a unique skill – Fire Spinning. In this series we explore her struggles trying to find her place within the creative community in Wyoming and beyond.

Produced by Stengel Media, we were excited to get lots of great fire spinning shots at different locations, but we also really wanted to flesh out Miranda as a character and explore her life on her family farm.  We really wanted to film her spinning fire in a cool location so we secured a burn permit and a filming permit to film in an alleyway in downtown Casper.  We also filmed Miranda performing at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper for hundreds of people.

Fire Spinner was submitted to the Heartland Emmy Awards in 2023, watch for updates on its Emmy status here and on our socials!  You can watch fire spinner on Wyoming PBS TV.
